The annual symposium followed by the general assembly of the Swiss Society of Meteorology (SSM) will be held on Friday, 27 November, 13:30 - 18:00.
This event will be held online via the video-conferencing software Zoom. It is open to all people interested in weather and climate. In particular, we invite Master and PhD students of climate and atmospheric sciences, collaborators of private and national weather services, private companies dealing with climate and weather and retired professionals. The symposium is free of charge.
This year, we are happy to announce presentations by Katharina Schroeer (MeteoSchweiz), Marius Zumwald (ETHZ), and Ana Maria Vicedo Cabrera (University of Bern).
Virtual table talks
Master students from different Swiss universities have the possibility to present their work in breakout sessions. They will last about 15 min and the participants are invited to join this informal setting to learn more about the different projects, ask questions and provide some hints to the students.
Submit your best picture of any meteorological phenomenon you have seen in Switzerland. The pictures will be rated by the participants of the symposium and the best picture will be awarded. Information about participation and how to upload your picture will follow after the registration deadline.
